Tired of doing the daily commute to St. Louis and being an empty nester, I downsized to an apartment that was close to work in a very nice community. I invested thousands of dollars in upgrading my house –new flooring, painting, etc. and put it on the market. This past summer my wife and I made the decision to move into a larger house as the house we were currently living in, in Belleville, had become much too small for our family.  We knew we had two options, sell the house, or rent it out, neither of which were really appealing options due to a variety of circumstances, but we would have to do something as shouldering the burden of two mortgages would leave us with almost no savings.  We also knew that while the structure and guts of the house were in great condition it needed some cosmetic updates such as new flooring, interior doors needed replacing along with updates to the bathroom and some fresh paint.  Again, all of which would be eating into what we had put back to put toward a new home. 

In mid-august we had already been approved to purchase a new home and at this point were kind of scrambling to figure out what we would be doing with the house we were in.  I got curious about all the “We buy Houses, Any Condition” signs I see around town from various real estate businesses. After looking at some reviews I was not so sure this was the route to go.  After some more digging, somehow, I got to a link for Cardinal Creek Properties and started going over their website.  I saw they were local and decided “What the heck, at this point, the worst that could happen is it doesn’t work out and we’re right back where we started.” So I reached out, and the rest as they say, is history.

I was only a few weeks away from foreclosure when you bought my house and saved me

Sorry it took so long for me to write this letter showing my appreciation. I never really got the chance to say thank you. Thank you for saving my home from foreclosure. After trying to sell my home through realtors and on my own, I was ready to give up. Thank you for your help. You were very good to work with. I am very happy how everything turned out. I was only a few weeks away from foreclosure when you bought my house and saved me. I want to say thanks to you and your company so much for helping me I don’t know what I would have done without you and your team. I felt compelled to write you a letter thanking you for the wonderful job your company did in saving me from foreclosure. When I received the foreclosure papers in the mail I panicked and thought that foreclosure was inevitable. Then I took a deep breath and called your company. Immediately, I knew my home wasn’t going to be foreclosed and I would escape foreclosure you assured me that. The knowledgeable staff calmed me down and explained exactly what we needed to do to stop the foreclosure and correct it for good. I did what was asked of me and sure enough I was out of foreclosure. I really couldn’t be happier, the bank allowed me to do the short sale and I was able to sell my house. Not only did I sell it this did not affect my credit and I was able to relocate and start over again. If it wasn’t for Mike this letter would not be possible.
